Night Fishing for catfish bank fishing, and boat fishing TACKLE RIGS

The best catfish rig i recomend is the "bobber with a brain slip bobber rig"   I also recommend for bank fishing the old favorites, commonly called a "slip sinker rig", "modified slip sinker rig", "set rig" and "slip set rig", and for drifting for catfish, the "bottomwalker rig", and the "slip bobber rig". The slip sinker rig, and the slip set rig are best used when fishing on ponds and lakes. The bottom walker rig is used to drift fish for catfish on lakes. When fishing rivers that have fast flowing current it is best to use a slip bobber set up. or a modified slip sinker rig.

10 REASONS TO USE THIS RIG WHEN YOU ARE FISHING
What are you fishing for?

CARP

Carp are scavengers and enjoy a meal just ready to be sucked up off the bottom. With your Dough Ball anchored by the sinker, it can lay in a area near the catfish bait for a mix of smells that should attract many fish from everywhere!

Crappie

Suspending your live or dead minnow using the Bobber With A Brain adds both freedom for the bait to swim (live) or flip in the current (dead.) A Crappie will be in full view of the minnow swimming around on your line like he is hurt!

Deadly Attraction Action!

(Also Trout love Minnows too!)

Catfish!

A Catfish can not eat off the bottom, so your Bobber With A Brain sets the bait perfect at a level for smell and vision motion in the water, this is irresistible to CATS! Especially the big one like Mr. Turner handled, (below!)

Bobber With A Brain is the most effective fishing bobber available that allows you to target all these fish,

AT THE SAME TIME, ON EACH CAST!

Bottom hook can have PowerBait too, FOR TROUT!

Live Bait Fish Rig

When using a Live Bait Fish, you need a way to keep the Bait Fish VISIBLE to Predators! (Cats, Walleye, Bass, Etc.)    This rig solves that problem

This is a method for large live fish as bait when the fish is 6 inches or bigger like a small perch or sunfish as bait . The red bobber keeps the  bait fish in one area with little effect on the B.W.A.B. till there is a strike.

Live Bait Fish Rig:

Connect a very small CLEAR or "red & white" type bobber to the swivel that also holds your rig. (See Picture.) Hook a five or six inch live bait fish, like a Chub, a foot or two above your sinker with a small "red & white" bobber a foot or two about the fish. (Try this with a Single Hook Rig like we handle here.)

The Bait fish can only swim in a circle! It simply CAN NOT SWIM UP OR DOWN more than a few INCHES! Live Bait Fish always want to swim under weeds or a rock on the bottom. Now you are set for BIG CATS or WALLEYE! Works Excellent even very deep water! Use a sinker heavy enough to take under the small bobber.

The Bobber With A Brain still shows a hit and you have your Live Bait controlled and swimming in the PREDATORS FACE!

What attracts Big Predators than a bait fish in distress?

(You can use a much heavier sinker for longer casts, since the "red & white" bobber will make the sinker lighter in the water!)

Current Riding / Weed Filled Bottom Set Up

This rig makes the Bobber With A Brain free to move in the current or above weed beds that snag your sinker!

The Split Shot works but usually we use a small swivel to stop the line from slipping back through the bobber. When done fishing, just disconnect the rig.

Current moving Slip Bobber w/NO Tangling Stopper!

Use a Split Shot Sinker or small Swivel as a "LINE STOPPER" to stop the line at the distance you want your hooks to be in the water. Just adjust the "LINE STOPPER" for the depth, Works great ONE to FIVE feet deep! (You are using the split shot or Swivel as a line stopper, but it never is reeled into your reel!) The "LINE STOPPER" will stop at the end of the Bobber With A Brain, even when reeled in! Attach a rig on the swivel, a single or double hook style, Without a sinker. (Remove the sinker from our hook rigs.)

You can even use a small weighted jig with this rig, but make sure the weight doesn't pull the bobber over, flat on the water!

When your fishing, the "LINE STOPPER" stops your line exactly at the depth you set. Which allows this set up to move around, you can still jig, wiggle, your baits by light pulls on your fishing rod.

Why not use a Simple Round Bobber?

Lot's of reasons: The best one is the fish never feels the B.W.A.B. until after he is caught! Bobber With A Brain has no resistance on your bait, a round bobber can be felt by the fish when he grabs the bait immediately!

You can see a nibble clearly even in FASTER CURRENT, like a River!
