There are many types of fishing lights on the market today. The most common lights are
the floating lights, fluorescent lights and submersible halogen lights.

Floating lights
are a sealed light surrounded
by styrofoarm for floating and enclosed with plastic. they are
not as good as the submerged night fishing lights , any wave action
can limit there effectiveness. Also they draw allot of amperage and can
drain your 12 volt system quickly. i recommend you use a separate system
from your boats for this lighting. (i always carry an extra 12 volt car

Fluorescent Lights
are a good night
fishing light source to use to see your rod tips and fluorescent baits and
line. they are also very good around your tackle box ,and to replace any
used tackle, or to change rigs. They are not that good as a light

Submersible Halogen
Lights are
probably the most popular lights on the market
because of
their small size, great light output and modest price. we
